  • More Information about Thacker Pass

I met this horned lizard at Peehee Mu’huh (Thacker Pass), the proposed site of an large scale lithium mine. This mine would destroy a mature sagebrush steppe ecosystem, the home of many beautiful creatures like this one, as well as sage grouse, golden eagles, pronghorn, King River pyrg, big horned sheep, jackrabbits, and many more. It would also destroy culturally significant land of the Paiute Shoshone people. If you are interested in learning more, donating, or volunteering, visit
